Deacon Roy
Deacon Rogelio Hernandez

An Arvin/Lamont native, Deacon Roy has been a pillar of the community for many years now. Alongside his wife Imelda, Deacon Roy has taught confirmation classes and serves at our sister parish, St. Augustine in Lamont.

Deacon Clyde was ordained in the Diocese of Orange in 1999. Called to be a prison chaplain he and his wife, Anita, moved to Tehachapi in 2003. Now in retirement, it is their privilege to serve at St. Thomas. Deacon Clyde is also assigned to St. Malachy in Tehachapi, as well as occasionally serving at St. Augustine in Lamont, and Holy Rosary in Hilmar.

Message from the Deacon

God calls us to love everyone. But, love is not a feeling, it is a choice...To forgive, to pray for, to help and to treat everyone with respect and dignity.
